Abinsula S.r.l. is a deep tech company incorporated in Sardinia in 2012 which in the last 10 years turned into an excellence in the field of innovation on Embedded, Digital, IoT, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence and Cloud technologies. In fact, nowadays Abinsula is one of the main Italian players in the field of web and mobile solutions, IoT and cloud technologies applied to automotive, Embedded solutions etc.. Abinsula also carries out scientific research and experimental development in the field of computer and electronic engineering, to be applied on innovative systems for automotive, home automation, medical, and their communication and integration with web systems. Its strong vision and belief in continuous innovation, led Abinsula in developing its open innovation policy, rooted on 3 main pillars: R&D partnerships with top tech players in the world (eg Wiit Group, Eurotech, ..), research agreement with Universities and tech labs in Sardinia and Turin area and collaboration with startups. Regarding this last piece of its strategy, in 2019 it became a certified business incubator, the fifth in the whole of Southern Italy to be recognized as a place for the birth and development of innovative startups. Also before turning into a (formally recognized) accelerator, Abinsula has invested in the territory through acceleration and incubation paths for innovative ideas and businesses, working closely with startups such as Abissi, Lifely, Footure Lab, WiData, Insula Events and Abika. Later on, Abinsula also invested in some of the above mentioned companies, this way extending its scope of action into the segments of IT security, sensors for agriculture and digital transformation of large companies. In the following years, it then supported the start-up and development of more than 100 innovative start-ups, including: U4Fit, Greenshare, MarinaNow, Art Backers, Jiku, Uncommon creative, Fundastic, Flyip.. Abinsula headquarter hosts a tech certified incubator, a coworking space with a strong developer and digital professional community, a laboratory of prototyping mainly dedicated to automotive and IoT solutions, but equipped also for experimentation and prototyping of various types of innovative products, a PCB laboratory and other instruments such as 3D printers.
